Ski in the wilderness with skin based skis designed to excel in snowy conditions without trails or tracks. Access the untouched snow to experience the beautiful arctic wilderness and enjoy complimentary hot beverages and lunch on the go. This activity is suitable also for beginner skiers because your guide will teach you the correct technique during the tour.On this wilderness skiing tour we will be skiing in varying wilderness terrain in the Pyhätunturi Area. We use modern OAC skin based skis which are designed for wilderness skiing and are short and wide by design and have integrated skins in the base making them a go to choice in variable winter terrain. The adjustable bindings fit to most winter or hiking boots. The wilderness skiing is a traditional way of moving in the arctic and these type of skis have been used by hunters and reindeer herders for centuries. The wilderness skiing tour takes about 3 hours and includes a lunch and hot beverages at a campsite by the open fire to keep you warm and energised during the tour. Ice Fishing is a relaxed activity and a perfect way to spend time outdoors during the winter. Ice fishing is a traditional form of wintertime fishing in Finland and on this tour you will learn the basics of ice fishing and you get to drill your own ice fishing hole to the Ice. Ice fishing is suitable for everyone and earlier fishing experience is not needed. The tour price includes hot beverages and light nordic lunch that you get to enjoy by campfire.On this guided private ice fishing tour you will learn the technique for ice fishing and you will have a chance to catch freshwater fish from arctic waters. You will use specific auger to drill a fishing hole in the the ice and also an ice fishing rod with a bait to lure the fish swimming under the thick ice. In case you get cold you can warm your self by a campfire. Snowshoeing tour in Luosto. This unique snowshoeing tour takes you to Rykimäkuru gorge where we will explore the Taiga forests and the snowy gorge with our snowshoes. We will go off the beaten path and on this tour you get to access the untouched snow to experience the beautiful arctic wilderness. The tour includes complimentary hot beverages and a light outdoor meal by campfire!On this tour we will access the snowy wilderness with snowshoes and explore the Rykimäkuru area in Pyhä-Luosto National Park. We will snowshoe in variable terrain around the Luosto Area. During the tour we will use modern lightweight TSL snowshoes which have adjustable bindings that fit to most winter or hiking boots.
