To get to the church sooner they made a shortcut through a natural stone bridge that crossed the river a little higher above the waterfall. But on the way to church one of the boys felt dizzy and fell into the water and drowned himself, the other brother in trying to help also fell in the cascade. When mother discovered what had happened, she put a spell on the bridge saying no one ever would cross the bridge so no one drowned. A little later, the bridge was demolished in an earthquake
