Your first step in discovering why freediving is becoming a popular way to explore under the waves. A previous freediving course is not required. Freediving is based on inner power, discipline and control. If you've always wanted to enter the underwater world with peace of mind, at your own pace, staying as long as your breathing allows, freediving is for you. Taking the PADI Freediver course is your first step in discovering why freediving is becoming a popular way to explore under the waves. To enroll in a PADI Freediver course you must be at least 15 years old. You need proper swimming skills and good physical health. No previous experience with snorkeling, freediving or freediving is required. The PADI Freediver course consists of three main phases: Develop knowledge about the principles of freediving through independent study with PADI Freediver eLearning (or your instructor can teach classes if it's not available in a language you understand). 1 session in confined waters to learn freediving techniques, as well as static and dynamic freediving. Objective: 90 seconds of static apnea and 25 meters/80 feet of dynamic apnea.2 sessions in open water for free diving and freediving with constant weight, in addition to appropriate procedures with a partner. Objective: 10 meters/30 feet of freediving with constant weight.

This course is a mix of a diving test and a diving course. We'll start with a full explanation of how diving equipment works and all the rules to keep in mind when diving. This experience will be carried out in two parts: A first part of the dive with some basic exercises (emptying the mask, recovering the regulator,...) for the student to gain confidence with the underwater environment.A second part in which a deeper dive will take place, and the student will put into practice what they learned in the previous dive. During the second dive we will also focus on how to maintain neutral buoyancy while diving. This experience lasts a total of about 2 - 2,5 hours. Each part at sea will last 25 minutes.
