The Glacier Lagoon is a stunning force of nature which is fed with icebergs from one of the the offsprings of the largest ice caps in Iceland, Vatnajökull. Part of the scenery is the black basalt iceberg decorated Diamond beach. We will also make time during the drive to visit well selected places on the south coast including the stunning Fjallsárlón Glacier Lagoon (bonus stop if time allows), the hidden gem Stjórnarfoss waterfall, the mysterious Seljalandsfoss waterfall that you can walk behind and the charming Vík village with it's black sand beach and majestic Reynisdrangar seastacks. Being located in the south east some 380 km from the capital, The Glacier Lagoon tour is our longest day tour (14 hrs) but most certainly worth the drive.

By snorkeling in drysuit you will get protection from the cold water if the fissure as the drysuit is constructed from layers of insulating fabric. However, we always recommend you rather take the wetsuit as you will have so much more fun. Pearl Tour - Golden Circle Super Jeep Tour & Snowmobiling
The Golden Circle tour allows visitors to get in touch with some of Iceland’s most famous and exciting natural phenomena. Our first stop is at Þingvellir National Park, which is one of Iceland's most significant historical sites. It's the home of Iceland’s first parliament which was founded in 930 AD. From Þingvellir we head along mountain tracks toward the world-renowned geothermal area around Geysir Hot Spring, the one spouting hot spring on Earth after which all other spouting hot springs are named. From there we continue on to Gullfoss (“the Golden waterfall”) where your proximity to its edge is so close you can feel the spray of the glacial water on your face. Next, we kick the action into higher gear to get even closer to Iceland’s nature and go for a one-hour snowmobile tour on Langjökull, Europe’s second-largest glacier.
Self drive: Drysuit Snorkeling in Silfra - with underwater photos
Silfra is one of the top dive sites in the world and situated in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Thingvellir, only about 50 km from Reykjavik. Silfra is a freshwater fissure about 60-63 meter deep, where you can almost see end to end as the water is so clear. The water is so pristine it feels like flying. By snorkeling in drysuit you will get protection from the cold water if the fissure as the drysuit is constructed from layers of insulating fabric. However, we always recommend you rather take the wetsuit as you will have so much more fun. Adventure Vikings is the only Icelandic company that offers wetsuit snorkeling in Silfra and we can assure you that you won’t regret snorkeling in the wetsuit. Instead of just floating heavily on the surface like you do in a drysuit you will be able to dive into the fissure in the wetsuit. No diving experience or diving license is needed.

German guided Golden Circle Shore excursion in small Group
This day trip with German-speaking tour guide in a small group with a maximum of 19 participants is the ideal shore excursion for cruise ship passengers and leads from Reykjavík on the so-called Golden Circle across the Hellisheiði Plateau to Hveragerði, where we stop at an earthquake crevice in a shopping center, the Haukadalur geothermal area with the active geyser Strokkur, to the impressive Gullur waterfall Foss. On the way, we stop at a farm that makes very good ice cream from the milk of its own cows. After a short stop at Lake Laugarvatn, we reach Þingvellir National Park, where you'll experience Icelandic history and plate tectonics.On the way back, we make a short detour through downtown Reykjavík.The departure time and tour duration is suitable for most cruise ships in the port of Reykjavík, such as the ships of Aida, MSC and Costa.

Hot Spring and Cool Glacier - Snowmobile and Secret Lagoon
After your pick-up in Reykjavík in the crack of dawn, we embark on a Super Jeep tour to the South Coast of Iceland. The tour starts along with highway #1 but right before reaching Selfoss, we take a hard left turn up North into the Icelandic Highlands. We will drive into the middle of the Golden Circle, without the stops, and if you are lucky you might be able to see the majestic Geysir spew out the super-heated geothermal water approx. 50 meters up in the air.After passing Gullfoss café we head into the highland and make our way to Langjökull Glacier. There, on the outskirts of the Glacier, lies our Glacial Hut where you will suit up in our snowmobile gear for your snowmobile tour. After a brief security lesson with your guide, we head out to enjoy the snowmobile tour. After this eventful tour to the Glacier, we then take a detour to the town of Flúðir for the real Icelandic experience, bathing in hot geothermal water in the beautiful surroundings of the Secret Lagoon. Here we will stop and relax as long as we can before heading back to busy Reykjavík.
