Itinerary
Day 1
Afternoon departure from Ao Nang for a relaxed island-hopping cruise that includes snorkel stops, paddleboarding/kayaking options, a sunset dinner at Poda Island, and a guided bioluminescent swim at Phra Nang.
Ko Ya Wa Sam (snorkel stop)
Boarding and an initial run along the coast to a sheltered snorkel site. At this secluded spot you'll find shallow reefs framed by limestone karsts. Snorkeling gear (anti‑fog masks, snorkel & fins) and life jackets are provided; SUPs/kayak are available if you prefer to stay on the surface. The crew will assist with equipment and entry.
Tips from local experts:
- Apply reef‑safe sunscreen before boarding; reapply on the boat to protect marine life.
- Use the provided anti‑fog masks and rinse them in fresh water after snorkeling to keep them clear.
- Store phones and valuables in the waterproof storage bags provided on board.
Chicken Island (Koh Kai) & Talay Waek sandbar
Visit the iconic Chicken Island for reef snorkeling and optional paddleboarding or kayaking along the coastline. If tide conditions permit (low tide), walk the natural sandbar 'Talay Waek' between Chicken Island and Tup Island to explore the exposed sandbar and take photos.
Tips from local experts:
- Ask the crew about tide conditions before attempting the sandbar crossing; it is only exposed at low tide.
- Leave footwear on the boat when wading ashore — the sand can be hot and there may be small shells.
- Wear the life jacket when using paddleboards and secure the leash; crew will brief on safe use.
Poda Island — sunset & Thai buffet dinner
Arrive at Poda Island for beach time, paddleboarding/kayaking or relaxing on the boat rooftop. As the sun sets from the island area, a Thai buffet dinner (vegetarian & vegan options available) is served onboard. Enjoy the sunset views of limestone cliffs while dining.
Tips from local experts:
- Plan to be on deck at least 30 minutes before sunset to enjoy clear sunset views and photos.
- Inform the crew of any dietary restrictions before boarding so the kitchen can accommodate.
- Use the onboard freshwater shower to rinse off salt before dinner or before heading back to the boat.
Phra Nang (Pranang Cave Beach) — bioluminescent swim
After sunset the boat moves to Phra Nang (Pranang Cave Beach / Railay area) for the night swim among bioluminescent plankton. Slip into the warm shallow waters and watch the water glow around your movements. The crew will brief safe entry and supervise the activity.
Tips from local experts:
- Do not use flash photography or bright lights during the bioluminescent swim; it reduces the effect.
- Avoid applying lotions or oils before the swim — they can wash into the water and affect visibility.
- Enter the shallow water slowly and follow the crew’s guidance; tie long hair back to avoid tangling.
