Meet the transport representative and board for the shared transfer to Isla Barú. Please be on time — the vehicle departs promptly.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive 10–15 minutes early at Torre del Reloj (Clock Tower) to locate the pick-up point and driver.

- Wear light clothing and shoes you can easily remove for boarding the transfer; secure valuables in a small bag.
Transfer from Cartagena to Isla Barú (Playa Blanca area)
Shared transfer (road and/or boat as operated) from central Cartagena to the experience center / beach area on Isla Barú.
Tips from local experts:
- Keep sunscreen, sunglasses, and motion-sickness remedies handy — transfer can include boat segments.
- Store phones and cameras in secure, dry compartments or waterproof cases during the transfer.
- Follow crew instructions when boarding/disembarking the boat; footwear that ties on is recommended.
Check-in & safety briefing at the experience center (Barú)
Check in at the local experience center, receive life vest and helmet, and attend a safety and handling briefing with the instructor.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring proof of age for participants under 18 if requested; minimum participant age is 12 years.
- Wear swimwear under quick-dry clothing—you will try the board in the water after the briefing.
- Inform the instructor of any medical conditions (back, heart, pregnancy) before the briefing; activity not recommended in those cases.

Guided efoil session with an instructor. Equipment provided includes efoil board, helmet, life vest; photos and video of your session are included.
Tips from local experts:
- Have a light snack beforehand but avoid heavy meals immediately before your session to prevent discomfort on the water.
- If you are a beginner, focus on the instructor's steps; practice time includes guided attempts and instructor support in shallow water.
- Bring a waterproof pouch for small essentials; staff will provide a secure area for belongings while you ride.
Daypass time: beach, lunch and fresh water shower
Free time on Playa Blanca with access to the beach area, towel, and fresh water shower included. Use this time to relax, swim, and have lunch (own meal or at local beach vendors where available).
Tips from local experts:
- Carry local currency in small bills for beach vendors; some vendors may not accept cards.
- Use the provided fresh water shower and towel to rinse off salt before returning to the transfer meeting point.
- Leave extra time to pack belongings and arrive at the designated meeting point 10 minutes before departure.
Pack, change and fresh-water shower
Time to rinse off, change, and collect belongings before boarding the return transfer.
Tips from local experts:
- Check all personal items (phones, wallets, keys) and any footage provided by staff before leaving the beach area.
- Use a secure, dry bag for electronics during the return transfer if you have one; confirm pick-up location with staff.
- If you need to use restroom facilities, do so now—facilities can be limited near the dock/transfer point.
