Tips from local experts:
- Arrive by 08:15 for a quick check-in; guides will collect reservations and confirm any special dietary or medical notes.
- Bring a small dry bag for valuables and a photocopy of ID; there's limited secure storage on board.
- Sun protection is essential — wear a hat, reef-safe sunscreen, and sunglasses; reapply before boarding.
Historic pause while passing Bocachica
Short narrated pause from the boat with historic information about Bocachica and Cartagena's coastal defenses while the boat transits outward toward the Rosario archipelago.
Tips from local experts:
- Stand on the boat’s shaded side for unobstructed views and photos during the historic commentary.
- Keep a light jacket or windbreaker handy — it can be breezy when the boat is moving.
- If you use seasickness medication, take it 30–60 minutes before departure as a precaution.
Corales del Rosario — Isla Grande & snorkeling
Visit Isla Grande and nearby islets inside Corales del Rosario National Park. Surface snorkel with mask and snorkel (equipment provided). Enjoy a panoramic tunnel of mangroves and relax on a private island; music and a social atmosphere on the boat.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring a quick-dry swimsuit and wear reef-safe sunscreen; snorkel equipment is supplied but you may bring your own mask if preferred.
- Protect your phone/camera in a waterproof case if you plan to take photos; the boat will have a small shaded area to leave belongings during snorkel.
- If you booked the VIP + Spa option, schedule the 30-minute massage slot with the guide upon arrival at the private island.
Lunch stop — Playa Cristal
Sit-down island lunch with typical island dishes (fish, chicken, or vegetarian options), coconut rice, patacones, salad and natural lemonade. Relax with sea views before the return trip.
Tips from local experts:
- Tell the guide your main-course choice (fish, chicken, vegetarian) at check-in or before disembark to speed service.
- If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, inform staff immediately — fish and coconut are commonly used in dishes.
- Keep bottled water with you between activities; hydration is important in the sun and salt air.

Board for the return trip to Cartagena. Final short announcements, disembarkation at the original meeting area. Tour officially ends upon return (approx. 16:30).
Tips from local experts:
- Keep your boarding items ready (ID, valuables) so disembarkation is quick and orderly.
- Expect a final headcount and brief feedback opportunity with your guide before leaving the boat.
- If you need a taxi or further transfers in Cartagena, have your hotel address handy; staff can help call a taxi.
