Itinerary
Day 1
Pick up of all guests
Driver will collect guests from their accommodation within the covered pickup area (selected hotels and addresses in Funchal, Caniço and Câmara de Lobos). Please be ready at the agreed hotel entrance at your confirmed collection time.

- Keep a small bag with a warm layer and water accessible in the vehicle since you may head straight to higher altitude.

Sunset Experience with optional hike - Stairway to Heaven trail
Transfer to Pico do Arieiro. Arrive at least one hour before local sunset to secure a viewpoint. Option to do the short, moderate PR1 'Stairway to Heaven' out-and-back section (roughly 1.2 km one way as noted by the operator) — do this only if you are comfortable on uneven mountain paths. After the sunset, reunite with the driver at the agreed meeting point 30 minutes after sunset so the group can return together.

- Wear sturdy, closed shoes and a warm outer layer; temperatures at Pico do Arieiro are significantly cooler and windier than the coast.
- If you plan to hike the PR1 section bring a headlamp or torch for the return leg and allow time to be back at the meeting point as instructed by the driver.

Drop of all guests
Return transfer to the original pickup hotels (same locations). Driver will drop guests at the agreed hotel entrance or previously confirmed drop-off point.
