Day 1
Private pickup from your hotel in Giza, guided visit to the Giza Plateau (Great Pyramid and Sphinx), time on the panoramic plateau with the option to take a 20-minute camel ride, lunch at a local restaurant, then return to your hotel.
Hotel pickup and guided visit: Great Pyramid of Giza & Great Sphinx
Your Nefertiti Tours guide will meet you at your hotel in Giza and transfer you by private air-conditioned vehicle to the Giza Plateau. Visit the Great Pyramid of Khufu (the Great Pyramid) with commentary from an English-speaking archaeologist guide. Continue to the Great Sphinx of Giza for an exterior visit and guided explanation. Note: entering the interior of the Great Pyramid is optional and subject to site restrictions and ticket availability.

- Wear sturdy, closed shoes — the plateau has uneven limestone and sand surfaces that can be slippery.
- The tour provides one bottle of mineral water per person; carry a small daypack for sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses for comfort.
- Confirm your exact hotel pickup point (hotel main entrance or lobby) with your guide in the morning to avoid waiting outside in traffic.
Panoramic plateau, optional camel ride (20 min) & lunch at a local restaurant
After the guided visits you will spend time at the panoramic area of the Giza Plateau (highest viewpoint) where many guests choose to take a short camel ride; the standard offered duration for camel rides is 20 minutes. Lunch at a nearby local restaurant follows. Important: according to the tour details, camel rides and lunch are not included in the base tour price and are paid locally if you wish to participate. Your guide will assist with logistics and restaurant seating before returning you to your hotel.
