Itinerary
Day 1
Private pickup from your hotel, guided visits to the Giza Plateau (pyramids and Sphinx), then transfer to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. Day ends with return to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.
Hotel pickup and the Great Pyramids of Giza (Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure)
Your Egyptologist guide and private, air-conditioned vehicle will collect you from your hotel. Travel to the Giza Plateau to explore the Great Pyramids. Learn about the pharaohs and construction while stopping for photos. Optional: camel or horse rides are available on-site (payable locally).
Tips from local experts:
- Confirm exact pickup hotel name and room number; the operator will communicate the exact pickup time by WhatsApp before the tour.
- Wear comfortable, closed shoes and a hat — the plateau is sandy and uneven; bring sunscreen and a lightweight scarf for wind/sand.
- Bring small notes of local currency for entrance fees, tips, and any optional camel/horse rides (cards are not accepted for these local services).
Great Sphinx of Giza — photo stop and interpretation
Short walk or drive to the area in front of the Sphinx. Your guide will share the myths, history, and restoration stories while you take photos with this iconic guardian of the plateau.

- There are limited shaded areas near the Sphinx; plan quick photo stops and bring a water bottle (provided) between viewpoints.
- Photography from the public viewing area is allowed; entering the fenced Sphinx enclosure is restricted — follow your guide's directions for best photo angles.
- Watch for local vendors approaching the viewing area; if you prefer not to be approached, keep valuables secure and indicate you are not interested.
Egyptian Museum (Tahrir Square) — highlights tour
Transfer to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square (or the Grand Egyptian Museum when open). Guided visit focusing on major highlights including the Tutankhamun collection, royal mummies, and key artifacts spanning 7,000 years of history. Your guide will point out objects of special interest and provide historical context.

- Bring a small bag with a secure zipper; the museum enforces bag checks and may require larger bags to be left at the entrance cloakroom.
