Itinerary
Day 1
Full-day premium catamaran cruise from Heraklion to Dia Island with water activities and gourmet lunch.
Meet & Check-in — Cafe Marina
Arrival, check-in, short safety briefing and welcome coffee before boarding. Please have your voucher/ID ready.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive 5–10 minutes before the listed start to allow time for check-in and a short briefing.
- Bring a light cover-up for boarding and a small bag for valuables — luggage storage aboard is limited.
- Carry a photo ID for check-in as required by the crew.
Boarding & Cruise Departure — Port of Heraklion
Board the catamaran and depart Heraklion heading north toward Dia Island. Short orientation and safety briefing from the crew while underway.
Tips from local experts:
- If you are prone to seasickness, take medication at least 30–45 minutes before departure.
- Secure small items and electronics in waterproof pouches; the crew will stow larger bags below deck.
- Restrooms and a shower are available on board — use them before arrival at the anchorage if needed.
Dia Island Bay — Swimming, Snorkeling, SUP & Fishing
Anchor in the sheltered bay off Dia Island. Spend a long swim/snorkel session, try the supplied stand-up paddleboards, or fish from the catamaran. Snorkel gear, SUPs, fishing gear and inflatable toys are provided.
Tips from local experts:
- Use reef-safe sunscreen to protect local marine life; snorkeling equipment and vests are provided on board.
- Water shoes are helpful for entry/exit near rockier shorelines around Dia — plan for rocky steps rather than sandy beaches.
- Keep your valuables in the boat's secure storage while you swim; label personal gear and follow crew instructions for equipment use.
Gourmet Mediterranean Lunch on Board
Enjoy a premium seafood-focused Mediterranean menu prepared on board, served with salads. Lunch is followed by seasonal fruit and a local dessert. Open bar serves water, soft drinks, local white wine and beer.
Tips from local experts:
- Inform the operator of dietary restrictions at booking or to the crew on arrival — staff can confirm the available menu option.
- Expect plated or served-course service aboard; bring any personal condiments you prefer as galley space is limited.
- Enjoy the meal on deck for views; if you prefer shade, ask the crew for a shaded seating area before plating is served.
Afternoon Relaxation — Sunbathe, Fresh Fruit & Optional Swim
After lunch, enjoy fresh seasonal fruit, relax on deck, sunbathe or take another short swim in the bay. Time for photos and quiet relaxation.
Tips from local experts:
- Protect your camera/phone from spray — use a waterproof case or a secure dry bag provided on board.
- If you want quieter time for two, request a more shaded area from crew members when you board the catamaran.
- Hydrate between sunbathing and swimming — bottled water is included and available from the crew.
Return Sail to Heraklion & Disembark
We sail back to Heraklion and disembark at the port. The activity concludes on arrival; crew will assist with disembarkation.
Tips from local experts:
- Have any small personal items and cameras stowed before departure to avoid missing items during disembarkation.
- Plan onward travel from the Port of Heraklion; taxis and local buses are available near the port on arrival.
- Collect any certificates or photos offered by the crew before stepping off the boat.
