Itinerary
Day 1
Private half-day watersports trip. Meeting at Watersport Center Bonaire; total duration 4 hours. Sample schedule below assumes the 09:00 departure (an identical timeline applies for the 13:00 start).
Check-in at Watersport Center Bonaire
Meet your captain and crew, confirm chosen activities, complete brief paperwork and sign waivers if needed.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start to complete check-in and confirm activity choices with the crew.
- Bring government ID or cruise ship ID for verification and your STINAPA nature-fee tag if you already purchased it online.
- Wear swimwear under light clothing and bring a towel; there is a fresh water shower on the boat for rinse-off after activities.
Safety briefing & gear fitting
Short onboard safety briefing and fitting of life jackets, snorkel gear or watersports equipment. Crew explains tow profiles and turn order for group activities.
Tips from local experts:
- Listen closely to the crew’s safety briefing; the captain will explain the smart tow system and launch procedures for tow sports.
- If anyone in your group is prone to seasickness, take medication at least 30–45 minutes before departure.
- Reserve any extra sea scooters at booking or on check-in if you want more than the 2 units already included.
Boat transit to activity area
Short cruise to the chosen watersports/snorkel area (commonly around Klein Bonaire or nearby reefs). Enjoy boat comforts (lounge seating, T-top shade, onboard audio).
Tips from local experts:
- Keep valuables in a waterproof bag or onshore locker; the crew can stow small items securely for the trip.
- Use the fresh water shower on deck after snorkeling to rinse salt before returning to the marina.
- If you prefer a quieter spot or a specific reef, tell the crew during check-in so they can plan the route.
Watersports & snorkeling session (group rotations)
On-site watersports and snorkeling. The trip includes up to 2 included activities per booking; common choices are towable rides, wakeboarding, waterski, kneeboarding and snorkeling. Two sea scooters for E-Snorkeling are included — crew will manage rotations so everyone gets turns.
Tips from local experts:
- Plan your group rotation before starting so turns are fair — crew will assist with launches and timing for each run.
- Remove jewelry and secure loose items; clip-on cameras or action cams are safest with a lanyard or mount.
- Communicate any medical conditions (e.g., ear problems, recent surgery, pregnancy) to the crew before entering the water.
Return cruise to Watersport Center Bonaire
Cruise back to the marina. Time to rinse with fresh water, change, and deboard at the Watersport Center.
Tips from local experts:
- Allow the crew to help rinse and stow equipment before disembarking to keep the process quick and safe.
- If you purchased a nature-fee tag online, keep it handy until the end of the trip in case it's requested.
- Plan transportation from the Watersport Center ahead of time if you have onward commitments; taxis and local shuttles serve the Kralendijk waterfront.
Debrief, gear return & goodbyes
Final checks, return of any rented gear, and short debrief with the crew. Optionally purchase drinks or snacks at the Watersport Center shop before leaving.
Tips from local experts:
- Return all borrowed gear to the crew and check personal items before leaving the boat or marina area.
- If you want photos or video, ask the crew at check-in about the camera rental (reserve in advance).
- Allow a few extra minutes after disembarkation for final payment or to pick up any items from the Watersport Center shop.
