Itinerary
Day 1
Meet at Parque Santa Ana for a 3-hour walking cantina tour through Merida Centro. The guide leads the group between traditional cantinas; each stop includes one beer and local snacks. This is a social, standing and walking experience — not wheelchair or stroller accessible.
Meet at Parque Santa Ana — start of the cantina walk
Group meets in front of the fountain at Parque Santa Ana. From here the guide will lead a walking route visiting several traditional cantinas in Merida's Centro neighborhood. Expect short walks between stops, lively local music, and shared botanas at each cantina.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring a government-issued ID (18+ required); bars in Mexico will refuse underage guests.
- Arrive 5 minutes early at the fountain in Parque Santa Ana (C. 60 x 47). Wear comfortable, breathable shoes—the route is on city sidewalks and lasts 3 hours.
- The tour includes one beer and snacks per cantina; carry small MXN bills for extra drinks or tips. Bookings require a minimum of 2 people.
