Itinerary
Day 1
Pickup, safety briefing, private 1-hour snorkel, and return transfer.
Hotel or Cruise Port Pickup (private transfer)
Private air-conditioned vehicle will collect your group from your Montego Bay hotel or the cruise terminal. The driver displays the company name on a sign. Allow a short window for pickup when departing the hotel or cruise port.
Tips from local experts:
- Wait at the hotel main entrance, lobby or the designated cruise terminal arrivals area (Montego Bay Cruise Terminal) so the driver can spot you quickly.
- Have your booking name and hotel or cruise ship name ready to show the driver on arrival.
- Wear your swimsuit under lightweight clothes for a faster transfer and quicker beach access.
Meet & Gear Fit at Doctor's Cave Beach
Arrive at the beach launch point for a short safety briefing, equipment fitting (mask, snorkel, fins), and an explanation of the guide's hand signals and route. Staff will confirm water-entry method for your group.
Tips from local experts:
- Use the public restrooms and rinse showers at Doctor's Cave Beach before gearing up to keep personal items dry.
- Apply reef-safe sunscreen at least 10–15 minutes before entering the water to allow it to absorb.
- If you wear contacts, put them in before arrival or bring soft contacts and a sealed case for storage during the snorkel.
Private 1-Hour Guided Snorkel
Guided snorkeling session led by a local guide over the protected reef. Explore coral formations and local marine life from the surface; the guide keeps the group together and points out highlights. Snorkelling equipment and admission are included.
Tips from local experts:
- Test your mask seal on the surface before heading out and keep a snorkel buddy next to you for safety.
- Stay with the guide and follow instructions — do not touch or stand on coral to protect marine life and your safety.
- Bring a small waterproof camera or secure your phone in a watertight pouch to capture photos; check equipment fit during the briefing.
Return Transfer and Drop-off
Return by private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel or the cruise terminal. Time for drying and changing is included in the transfer window. Driver will drop guests at the original pickup point or agreed alternate within Montego Bay.
Tips from local experts:
- Allow about 30–45 minutes after exiting the water to dry off and change before other plans; bring a small towel and dry clothes.
- Confirm your exact drop-off point with the driver (hotel main entrance or cruise terminal) to avoid waiting at secondary entrances.
- Midday traffic along Gloucester Avenue (the Hip Strip) can be busier—allow a little extra time if you have strict onward plans.
