Itinerary
Day 1
Full-day guided transfer and boat cruise from hotels in Paphos to the Blue Lagoon and Akamas area, returning to Paphos in the early evening.
Paphos pick-up from hotels
Hotel and meeting-point pick-up across Paphos by air-conditioned coach. Guide will confirm specific pickup time and location the day before the tour.
Tips from local experts:
- Have your phone on and available at the scheduled pickup time — the operator will confirm your exact pickup point the day before.
- Bring a small daypack with swimwear and a towel inside for quick changes on the coach.
- If you need a child seat, notify the operator in advance; otherwise bring any small comfort items for younger children.
Edro III shipwreck (viewpoint)
Short scenic stop along the Peyia coastline to view and photograph the Edro III shipwreck near the Sea Caves area. This is a quick roadside/photo stop rather than a long onsite visit.
Tips from local experts:
- Stay behind safety barriers and follow your guide — the viewpoint is rocky and can be slippery after rain.
- Have your camera/phone ready for a 10–15 minute photo stop; wide-angle shots capture the wreck and coastline best.
- If travelling with small children, keep them close during the short walk to the viewpoint and away from cliff edges.
Transfer to Latchi Harbour / boarding
Drive to Latchi Harbour for boat boarding. Short on-site time for boarding, safety brief and settling in before departure.
Tips from local experts:
- Use the coach restroom or hotel facilities before boarding; boat restrooms are available but queues can form at busy times.
- Keep valuables dry — bring a small waterproof pouch for phones and wallets during boat time.
- If anyone in your group needs a life jacket or has mobility concerns, tell the crew during boarding so they can assist.
Blue Lagoon (Akamas) — 3-hour boat cruise
Three hours on the boat in the Akamas area anchored at the Blue Lagoon for swimming, snorkeling and relaxation. Boat amenities include waterslide, snorkel masks, life jackets, outside shower and toilet. The captain provides seasonal fruit and local wine as a gift on board.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring biodegradable sunscreen and a hat — the boat and lagoon have limited shaded areas during peak sun hours.
- Wear water shoes for getting on/off the ladder and for rocky seabed areas around swim stops; snorkeling masks and life jackets are provided.
- Pack a dry change of clothes in a waterproof bag for the return to the coach; wet swimsuits can be uncomfortable on the drive back.
Latchi Harbour — free time for lunch and stroll
Return to Latchi Harbour where you have about one hour of free time to eat at waterfront tavernas, grab a coffee, or stroll along the marina.
Tips from local experts:
- For family-friendly tavernas, look for venues with shaded outdoor seating and kids' menu options (ask staff about allergens).
- Carry small change (€) for quick purchases; many harbourside cafes accept cards but small stalls may be cash-only.
- Watch children near the water edge and marina piers; use shaded seating where possible during peak sun.
Baths of Aphrodite (Botanical Garden area)
Short visit to the Baths of Aphrodite site set within a botanical garden area. Enjoy the mythic setting and short, accessible walks with interpretive signage.
Tips from local experts:
- There is a short paved path and steps near the site — bring a lightweight stroller if needed but expect a short walk from the parking area.
- Wear comfortable shoes for gravel paths; shaded benches are available for rest during the visit.
- Bring water for the short walk and be mindful of posted signs protecting the natural area and archaeological features.
Return transfer and drop-off to hotels (Paphos)
Coach return to Paphos with drop-off at hotels or original pickup meeting points. Guide and driver will drop guests as close as possible given traffic and local access.
Tips from local experts:
- Have your hotel name and room number ready in case the driver asks to confirm drop-off details for multiple hotels.
- Expect arrival back in Paphos in the early evening — allow a short buffer for traffic or minor delays.
- If anyone in the group requires a priority drop-off due to mobility needs, inform the guide earlier in the day so routing can be adjusted.
