Enter the Morpho butterfly garden
Guided visit to the Morpho (Mariposario) butterfly garden. Learn about local species and habitat. The guide accompanies the group inside the enclosure.
Tips from local experts:
- Cell phones are not allowed inside the laboratory area of the butterfly enclosure—bring a small camera if you want photos and follow guide instructions.
- The garden has uneven paths and is not wheelchair accessible; strollers are not recommended for narrow indoor paths.
- Bring a light layer and insect repellent; the visit mixes shaded indoor zones and open areas—young children do well with a hat and water bottle.
Beach club time at Mismaloya
Relaxation time at a beach club in Mismaloya. Free time for swimming or beach play; snorkel is available but not included in the standard tour.
Tips from local experts:
- Snorkeling is optional and not included—bring your own basic snorkel gear if you plan to snorkel or ask the guide about local rental options.
- The shoreline near Mismaloya includes rocky sections—supervise children closely while entering the water and consider water shoes for kids.
- Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, and a dry change of clothes; the beach club typically has restrooms and shaded seating for families.
City tour along the Malecón (Puerto Vallarta)
Guided walk along the Malecón to see Puerto Vallarta's seaside sculptures, local life, and short photo stops. The guide will lead a compact, family-paced route.
Tips from local experts:
- The Malecón is stroller-friendly in most sections but can be busy—keep children close and agree on a visible meeting spot with the guide.
- Short walking distances are used; wear comfortable shoes and carry water—there are public restrooms and shaded benches along the route.
- Expect street vendors and local performers; keep small valuables secure and let children know to stay with the group.
Visit to an artisanal tequila facility and tasting (Avenida México area)
Short visit to an artisanal tequila tasting near Avenida México. Guided tasting introduces the production style and a brief sampling of Jalisco tequila traditions (adults only for tasting samples).
Tips from local experts:
- Tastings are for adults only—please supervise children during the visit and do not allow them to sample alcohol.
- Use the included transport for the tour—avoid driving after tastings; the tour vehicle will return you to your pickup/drop-off point.
- Artisanal facilities can be compact with limited seating—follow the guide's instructions for safe, family-friendly seating and movement during the visit.
Artisanal coffee tasting inside the butterfly garden
A short artisanal coffee tasting hosted inside the butterfly garden grounds—sample local roast styles and learn about regional coffee production.
Tips from local experts:
- Coffee tasting portions are small; bring water or a light snack for children—caffeinated samples are intended for adults and older teens only.
- The tasting is located within the butterfly garden area; follow the guide's directions and note that the garden's indoor spaces have limited seating.
- If you have mobility needs or young infants, inform the guide ahead of time—areas for the tasting can include steps or narrow walkways.
