Itinerary
Day 1
Meet in central Puerto Vallarta and travel south to Boca de Tomatlán/Las Ánimas for snorkeling, canopy activities and beach time. Schedule includes short transfers by road and water taxi, a guided snorkeling stop at a small hidden beach, the adventure-park canopy circuit, a seafood platter lunch and free beach time before return.
Meet & transfer toward Boca de Tomatlán / Cabo Corrientes area
Meet in Puerto Vallarta and transfer by bus and water taxi toward the Boca de Tomatlán / Cabo Corrientes coastline to reach the Las Ánimas / snorkeling area. This segment covers the initial road transfer and the water taxi approach to the beaches.
Tips from local experts:
- Meet at Constitución & Calle Basilio Badillo in Puerto Vallarta — arrive 10 minutes early to board easily.
- Bring a small dry bag for valuables during the water taxi and transfer; phones can get splashed on the short boat ride.
- Wear quick-dry shoes or sandals you can take off for boarding the water taxi; expect a short walk on sand at the landing.
Snorkeling stop at a small hidden beach (Playa Escondida area)
Guided snorkeling session at a small hidden beach accessible by water taxi from Boca de Tomatlán. Time for snorkeling in clear coastal waters, short swims, and beach photos. Equipment use and basic guidance are provided as part of the activity.
Tips from local experts:
- Use biodegradable reef-safe sunscreen and apply it before entering the water to protect marine life.
- Wear a life jacket if you prefer extra buoyancy; flotation is recommended for weaker swimmers during open-water snorkeling.
- Bring a towel and a labelled plastic bag for wet swimwear; there is limited space to change at the landing.
Las Ánimas adventure park: canopy course, seafood platter and beach time
Visit the Las Ánimas beach area for the treetop canopy/adventure course—suspension bridges, tightropes, the large rope spider web and zipline segments—followed by a fresh seafood platter and free time to relax on Playa Las Ánimas (swim or nap on the sand). Adventure Park entrance is included.
Tips from local experts:
- Wear closed-toe shoes with good grip for the canopy elements; harnesses and safety briefings are provided at the park.
- If you plan to swim after the activity, leave electronics in a dry bag or a locker; the beachfront can be sandy and wet.
- Allergies or dietary needs: tell the on-site staff before the meal is prepared so they can advise on suitable seafood or alternatives.
