Itinerary
Day 1
Day 1: Meet at partner hotel, visit Prambanan and Borobudur, return to hotel for overnight.
Hotel Crystal Lotus — meet & pickup point
Meet your driver/guide at Hotel Crystal Lotus (partner hotel). This is the tour meeting point and where luggage can be stored if arriving earlier.
Tips from local experts:
- Confirm your room number or meeting point at reception the night before; staff at Hotel Crystal Lotus usually assist with early pickups.
- Keep medication and essential items with you in a small day bag; the vehicle will handle luggage separately.
- If you need a ground-floor room or elevator access, request this at reception when you check in to ensure accessibility.
Prambanan area (Jl. Raya Temulawak) — visit
Drive to the Prambanan temple area for a guided walkthrough of the temple complex and surrounding grounds.
Tips from local experts:
- Wear a light hat and comfortable walking shoes; shaded resting spots and benches are available around the complex.
- There are accessible routes at the main visitor areas but some temple platforms have steps—ask the guide for the easiest viewing points.
- Use the public restroom facilities at the visitor entrance before entering the temple grounds; carry a small bottle of water for the walk.
Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur — main visit
Guided visit to the Borobudur temple complex (Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur). Time allocated for the main stupa, terraces and visitor center.
Tips from local experts:
- The site has paved routes but several terraces have steps; move at a relaxed pace and use handrails where provided.
- Plan bathroom and water breaks at the visitor center before starting the temple ascent; rest benches are available between terraces.
- Sunrise can be chilly and sunrise visits require early starts; this itinerary visits mid‑day—bring sun protection and a light snack if needed.
Day 2
Day 2: Short local stops near Merapi / Selo and nearby streets named in the original itinerary; return to Yogyakarta to conclude the package.
Jl. Taman — short local stop
A brief stop on Jl. Taman for photos and a short walk to appreciate local village scenery near the Merapi foothills.
Tips from local experts:
- This is a short, low‑intensity stop; wear stable shoes as pavement can be uneven in places.
- Ask the guide for a shaded spot to sit if you need a rest; carry a small bottle of water for the short walk.
- If mobility is limited, notify the guide in advance so the vehicle can pull closer to minimize walking distance.
Suroteleng / Selo (Selo, Boyolali) — Merapi foothills stop
Visit the Selo area at the foot of Mount Merapi (Suroteleng / Selo). Short viewpoint stops and light walking to experience the highland atmosphere.
Tips from local experts:
- Temperatures can be cooler at Selo; bring a lightweight jacket and allow time to acclimatize after the drive.
- There are informal viewpoints and short, sometimes stepped paths—move slowly and use walking sticks if helpful.
- Restroom and refreshment options are limited; use facilities in larger villages before arrival and keep bottled water handy.
Jl. Bugisan — final short stop
Short visit along Jl. Bugisan to experience a local street scene and finish the tour's listed stops before returning to the city.
Tips from local experts:
- This is a brief, low‑impact stop suitable for seated rest or a short stroll; benches or cafe seating are good options.
- If you require minimal walking, the guide can park close to the point of interest—ask in advance to reduce walking distance.
- Carry any necessary personal items (medication, ID) in a small day bag; vehicle will be nearby for quick access after the stop.
