Ancient man-made caves have been discovered on the land of Ægissíða by Hella. Five of them have been open to the public. Some believe they date further back than the settlement of the Nordic Vikings. As you tour the cave you will also get to taste a locally produced Icelandic Whiskey and try some regional delicacy, smoked and engraved wild Icelandic goose.
