I was born in a "family hotel" collecting many stories left to me by guests like Veterans or their relatives. I'm now a local expert, artisan of Memory, ready to share unique experiences following the Footprints on the Battlefield Trails of Monte Cassino.

Aperitivo with Monte Cassino History and the Gustav Wine
You might have heard the word “aperitivo” once or twice if you have Italian friends, and this is an "Italian Aperitivo with Monte Cassino History and the Gustav Wine". I will serve you a "finger food dinner of delicious local products" with a unique experience in which I like to interact in order to exchange and offer historical information about Cassino, answer any questions and illustrate focal points regarding some sites of the battle of Cassino in WWII, with a lot of interesting maps and pictures and original information not easy to find in the classic tourist itinerary, wich give very different perspectives of the battlefield behind the Monastery of Monte Cassino. Not only, this is a good opportunity to have a special wine taste of the "Gustav Wine"; a bottle of a unique wine of which I invented the label, inspired by the vines I saw growing, during my walks on the paths around Monte Cassino.

Cassino Red Poppy, tailor made tour and walking Experience.
It is difficult to establish a tour that illustrates in sequence the four battles that took place at Cassino, without having to retrace your steps several times. It is also impossible not to be captured by the spirituality and sense of peace that now reigns in this land, especially when you arrive near the Monastery of Montecassino. This is why I like to tailor made a storytelling to be experienced and interpreted begining from the red poppies that we find in so many anti-war songs, as the poem about "the poppies blow between the crosses row on row..." of the battlefields of the First World War. And it will certainly not be a coincidence if "the poppies became even redder...", as described by the song composed on the battlefield of Monte Cassino.Cassino Red Poppy will be our Red Thread that will guide us through a journey full of incredible stories of men who came from all over the world who marked the fate of these places, from which we can now enjoy amazing and breathtaking views.See all my pictures of this experienceDescription from Guests reviewsThe tour with Pino was a definite highlight of our trip to Italy. He is extremely knowledgable, kind and passionate about sharing his impressive expertise regarding the WWII battles that were fought in the Cassino area. Pino does not simply share facts about the various battles fought. He imparts upon visitors a greater sense of the impact of war for all parties involved. He also emphasizes the importance of remembering and paying tribute to the many soldiers who fought in these battles. Pino made the tour a very moving experience and has sparked our desire to learn even more about WWII. He was also very generous with his time, and spent much longer with us than merely a few hours. His breadth of knowledge is impressive and inspiring. Walking along the Cavendish trail in the very footsteps soldiers took not so long ago is a unique opportunity, and one that when accompanied by Pinos storytelling and guidance, will prove unforgettable. I would highly recommend this tour if you are in the Cassino area!
The Ring of the Impregnable Hill
