Itinerary
Day 1
Meet, board and private cruise to Comino and Gozo; itinerary is flexible and guided by your skipper.
Meet & Board — Malta Jet Ski Rental (boarding point)
Meet at the operator’s meeting point for check-in, safety briefing and boarding. The skipper will confirm the route and any passenger requests.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive 20 minutes before departure to complete check-in and brief luggage stowage.
- Bring a small soft bag — hard wheeled suitcases are difficult to stow on board.
- Wear non-slip shoes for safe boarding and keep valuables in a waterproof pouch.
Blue Lagoon (main swim & snorkel stop)
Anchor at Blue Lagoon for swimming and snorkelling in clear shallow waters — ideal for relaxing and photos.
Tips from local experts:
- Use reef-safe sunscreen to protect marine life and avoid white streaks in photos.
- Bring a mask/snorkel if you prefer your own gear; a mask & snorkel are included if needed.
- Boarding ladder can be slippery — enter/exit the water slowly and hold the handrail.
Crystal Lagoon (scenic swim and shallow snorkel)
Short cruise to Crystal Lagoon for calmer, shallower waters and a quieter swimming spot.
Tips from local experts:
- Crystal Lagoon is shallower — check water depth before diving and enter feet first.
- If you prefer sunbathing, the boat will be left anchored and shaded seating is available.
- Keep small items secured — light wind can move loose items on deck.
Comino coastal stop — Triq Kemmuneti area (short photo stop)
A short stop near the Triq Kemmuneti area of Comino for coastline views and photos.
Tips from local experts:
- Ask the skipper for the calmest side of the boat for photos to avoid spray.
- Hold cameras or phones with a wrist strap when taking pictures while on deck.
- If you want closer cave views, stay seated and listen to skipper instructions when moving around the boat.
Comino coastal swim spot (anchored)
Anchored swim in a sheltered cove along Comino’s coast — time to snorkel or relax on the hull.
Tips from local experts:
- Rinse in the onboard freshwater shower after swimming to remove salt.
- Tie up sunglasses or hats to avoid losing them when swimming.
- Check with the skipper before using any onboard speakers to keep the atmosphere relaxed.
Comino sea-cave approach (slow cruise & viewpoint)
Slow cruise along sea-cave areas; the skipper will manoeuvre safely for viewing and photos without entering narrow caves.
Tips from local experts:
- Remain seated when the skipper is approaching cliffs or caves for stability.
- If you suffer from motion sensitivity, look at the horizon to reduce discomfort.
- Keep a light jacket handy; sea breezes can be cooler than on land.
Short sheltered anchorage (photo & relax)
Brief stop in a calm bay for shade and relaxing on board cushions.
Tips from local experts:
- Use the sun canopy for shade if you want a break from direct sun.
- Keep hydrated — the ice box with ice is available on board.
- Ask the skipper for a quiet music setting to keep the mood relaxed.
Cruise toward Gozo coastal area — Ghajnsielem approach
Cross channel toward Ghajnsielem/Gozo to visit hidden coves along the Gozo coastline.
Tips from local experts:
- Secure loose items before cruising in case of spray or chop.
- If you prefer a quieter deck area, the forward bow is usually less shaded but quieter.
- Communicate any motion-sickness concerns to the skipper so they can adjust speed if possible.
Nadur / Ramla Bay viewpoint (from the water)
Pass or briefly anchor off Nadur / Ramla Bay for coastal views — ideal for scenic photos.
Tips from local experts:
- Ramla Bay looks best from the water — have cameras ready for wide-angle shots.
- Avoid standing on the gunwale while the skipper is manoeuvring close to shore.
- If you want to swim here, confirm water depth and currents with the skipper first.
Mid-channel scenic pass
Short scenic passage between Gozo and Comino with commentary from the skipper.
Tips from local experts:
- Stand or sit near the centreline for the smoothest ride while underway.
- Bring sunglasses with polarised lenses to reduce glare for better visibility.
- Ask the skipper questions about local geology and marine life — they will share verified insights.
Gozo hidden cove — brief anchorage (photography)
Short anchor at a secluded cove for photos and brief swim if conditions allow.
Tips from local experts:
- Check water entry points with the skipper before swimming; some coves have rocks.
- Use the boat ladder slowly when re-boarding to avoid slips.
- Keep phones in waterproof cases for underwater or near-water photography.
Coastal photo stop — small Gozo inlet
Very short stop for coastline photos and to admire local arches and rock formations.
Tips from local experts:
- Ask the skipper for the calmest side for photos to avoid spray affecting lenses.
- If you have jewellery, secure it before swimming to avoid loss.
- Use the onboard shade between stops to avoid sun overexposure.
Gozo shoreline pass (short)
Short pass along the Gozo shoreline allowing a view of local villages and cliffs from the water.
Tips from local experts:
- Listen to skipper commentary for safe viewpoints and where to avoid drifting close to cliffs.
- If you want a quieter experience, remain on the shaded aft section during this pass.
- Keep a light windbreaker accessible; sea breezes are stronger close to cliffs.
Small sheltered bay — quick swim or photo
Very brief stop in a sheltered bay for a last short swim or photo opportunity.
Tips from local experts:
- Limit swim time here to what the skipper recommends to keep to schedule.
- Rinse in the boat’s freshwater shower after the final swim to remove salt.
- Check you have all personal items before leaving the water to avoid leaving anything behind.
Final coastal view — approaching Ghajnsielem
Final slow cruise along Ghajnsielem shoreline with time to take last photos and prepare to disembark.
Tips from local experts:
- Gather personal items while the boat is still anchored; the skipper will announce disembark procedures.
- If you used onboard towels, dry off before disembarking to make boarding easier.
- Check pockets and dry bags for passports, phones and cameras before tendering ashore.
Disembark / End of tour — Ghajnsielem area
Return to the designated disembark point in the Ghajnsielem area. Assistance provided for safe disembarkation.
Tips from local experts:
- Wait for the skipper’s signal before moving to the boarding ladder or tender.
- Collect all personal belongings and check seating areas before leaving the boat.
- If you require a taxi from the disembark point, inform the operator in advance to arrange one.
