Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival & check‑in at MedconsultAsia Clinic
Meet clinic reception, present photo ID and appointment confirmation. Staff confirm which test option you booked and any paperwork required. If you have mobility needs, request assistance at reception.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring the same photo ID used for booking (passport or Thai ID) and your booking confirmation; the clinic will verify identity before testing.
- The clinic is on Sukhumvit Soi 49; taxi drivers accept this address. If using BTS, Thong Lo station is the closest (about 1 km) — plan a short taxi or Grab ride from the station.
- Arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for reception paperwork; request a seat near reception if you prefer minimal standing.
Sample collection (swab or finger‑prick)
Clinical nursing team collects the required sample: nasal/throat swab for RT‑PCR or antigen; finger‑prick blood sample for antibody testing. Staff are in full PPE and will explain the procedure.
Tips from local experts:
- If you are having an RT‑PCR or antigen swab, avoid clearing your nose or throat immediately before the swab to ensure a proper sample.
- If mobility or seating is needed during the sample, tell the nurse before the procedure so they can arrange a comfortable chair and extra assistance.
- Wear a mask to the clinic and briefly lower it only when instructed by the nurse for the swab; this minimizes exposure in the waiting area.
Post‑test processing, results information & departure
Staff will confirm how and when you will receive results (email for all tests; express RT‑PCR same day by ~22:00, standard RT‑PCR by next working day, rapid antigen/antibody in‑clinic within ~20 minutes where applicable). RT‑PCR bookings include a Fit to Fly certificate issued separately.
Tips from local experts:
- Confirm the exact result delivery method and contact email/phone at check‑out; notify staff immediately of any corrections to your name or passport number.
- If you require the Fit to Fly certificate for RT‑PCR, remind reception before leaving so they can note any special formatting requirements for your airline or destination.
- If you need to wait for an in‑clinic rapid result, plan for a 20–40 minute stay; bring a small personal item (water, light reading) but keep belongings close for ease of movement.
