Itinerary
Day 1
Evening pickup from hotel, transfer to the Nile boarding point, two-hour dinner cruise with live music and shows, then return transfer to hotel.
Private hotel pickup → 2-hour Nile dinner cruise with entertainment → Hotel drop-off
Your representative will meet you in your hotel lobby at the agreed pickup time and transfer you by private, air-conditioned vehicle to the Nile boarding point in Zamalek. Boarding and brief check-in take place before the cruise. The vessel sails for approximately two hours on the Nile with an open buffet dinner served on board while an Egyptian band performs live. During the cruise you will see belly-dancing and tanoura (whirling-dervish) performances and can enjoy views of Cairo from the top deck. After disembarkation, the private driver returns you to your hotel. Total door-to-door duration is approximately 4 hours.
Tips from local experts:
- Provide a mobile number (WhatsApp preferred) in advance so the guide can confirm your exact lobby pickup location and time.
- Wear smart-casual evening clothes and bring a light layer for the top deck — temperatures can drop after sunset on the river.
- Bring small change in local currency for gratuities and for purchasing drinks on board (drinks are not included).

Why this experience
The Nile at night belongs to you and the river. You'll drift past Cairo's glittering skyline while a live band plays, the water catches the city lights, and dancers move through the evening with the kind of energy that makes you forget you're in a tour group. The open buffet keeps coming—Egyptian classics, grilled meats, fresh salads—and by the time the belly dancer and Tanoura performer take center stage, you've settled into that perfect state where the evening feels both magical and utterly relaxed.
This isn't a massive cruise ship; it's an intimate two-hour journey where the Nile and the city are the real entertainment. Your hotel pickup is private, meaning no waiting around with other travelers. You're collected from your room, driven to the boat, and returned to your hotel after the show. The whole experience—from the moment you step in the car to the moment you're back in your room—is framed entirely around your comfort and timing.
Before you go
- Best time: Year-round, but the cooler months (November–March) are most comfortable for an evening cruise. Summer evenings are warm, which some travelers find pleasant for an open-air experience.
- Budget: Check the booking widget for current tour pricing. Most packages include hotel pickup and drop-off, the cruise itself, open buffet dinner, and live entertainment.
- Difficulty: Easy. You're seated throughout; no walking required beyond the boat boarding.
- What to bring: Smart casual clothing (no beachwear or athletic wear). The evening breeze can be cool on the water, so bring a light wrap or jacket. Comfortable shoes for boarding.
- Getting there: Private vehicle pickup from your Cairo hotel at your specified time. Driver will wait if you're running a few minutes late. Drop-off at the same hotel after the cruise ends.
- Accessibility: Ask the operator about wheelchair access when booking. The boat has steps to board; mobility questions should be clarified in advance.
Frequently asked questions
What time does the cruise depart? Most cruises depart between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM, depending on the operator's schedule. Your pickup time will be arranged to get you to the dock with time to spare.
Is the belly dancing respectful? Yes. These are skilled professional dancers performing a traditional art form. The show is designed as entertainment for a mixed audience, and the atmosphere is celebratory rather than objectifying.
Can I request dietary preferences? Most operators accommodate vegetarian, halal, or allergy requests if you mention them when booking. The buffet typically includes multiple protein and vegetable options.
