Day 1

Meet at Pile Gate (Vrata od Pila) — check-in
Meet your English-speaking guide at Pile Square in front of Pile Gate. Check-in, quick intro to the tour and distribution of included Fort Lovrijenac & City Walls information (if applicable). Please arrive by 10:15 so the tour can start on time.

- Stand at the western side of Pile Gate near the large stone fountain — it's the usual meeting spot and the guide will wear an Elite Travel badge.
- Bring a lightweight jacket for breeze off the sea even in May; the gate area can be windier than interior streets.
- Comfortable shoes are essential — the first 15 minutes include some cobbles and a short stair; hold hands on narrow steps for a romantic photo.
Fort Lovrijenac — visit the 'Red Keep'

- For the most romantic photos, the cliff-facing terrace gives uninterrupted views of the Old Town — ask the guide to time a photo when the light is soft.
- There are uneven flagstones and some steep steps inside the fort — take your time and keep close to your partner on narrow ledges.
- If you’d like a quieter moment, step to the left side of the terrace (looking toward the town) — tour groups tend to cluster at the main viewpoint.
Dubrovnik Old Town — Walk of Shame stairs & filming spots
A guided stroll through Old Town to film locations such as the Walk of Shame stairs, the Jesuit steps, Rector’s Palace exterior shots and other tucked-away filming alleys.

- To catch a more intimate atmosphere for couples, ask your guide to linger on quieter side-streets—they know lesser-known vantage points for private photos.
- Pause at a small wine bar after the main walk (for example D'vino Wine Bar, Dubrovnik) for a relaxed glass — early afternoon is usually quiet in May.
- Keep valuables in a front pocket — the small lanes are romantic but can get busy; planning a gentle hand-in-hand stroll through the side alleys is best.
Dubrovnik City Walls — overview & instructions for walking the Walls
Your guide will provide City Walls tickets (if included in your option) and explain the best route to walk the Walls independently after the tour. See Fort Minčeta (House of the Undying) and enjoy panoramic views over the sea.

- If you selected the option with City Walls ticket, ensure you keep the ticket safe — you'll need it to enter; the best couple photos are near Fort Minčeta.
- The Walls include steep stairs and narrow sections — hold hands for support on steep stretches and move slowly to enjoy the view together.
- If you plan to walk the full circuit later, start near late afternoon for softer light; your guide will point out where to re-enter for a quieter sunset walk.
Optional upgrade: Trsteno Arboretum — guided visit (adds ~1.5 hours)
Upgrade option: guided transfer and 1.5-hour visit to Trsteno Arboretum, used as King’s Landing palace gardens in Season 3. Includes return transfer and entrance ticket when selected.

- Trsteno is especially beautiful in spring — the coastal light and flowering trees make for a very romantic stroll and excellent couple photos.
- Wear sun protection and comfortable shoes; paths are uneven in places and there are short climbs to viewpoints overlooking the Adriatic.
- If you choose the upgrade, sit on the seaward benches near the Neptune Fountain for a quiet moment together — guides often let couples linger briefly here.
Optional romantic sunset — Buža Bar (Buža Cliff Bar)
After your tour, for a classic Dubrovnik romantic moment we suggest Buža Bar — a cliffside bar with direct sea views perfect for a pre-dinner sunset drink. (Not included; optional.)

- Arrive at least 20–30 minutes before sunset in May (sunset around 19:45–20:15 depending on date) to secure a bench — seating is very limited and highly coveted.
- The bar is cliffside with steep access; hold hands on narrow steps and be mindful near the edges for safety and privacy.
- Buža Bar is a cash-and-card friendly spot but has limited menu — consider pairing a drink here with a later dinner at a nearby cozy restaurant in Old Town.
