Itinerary
Day 1
Full-day guided tour combining My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An Ancient Town. Hotel pickup in Hoi An, visit My Son with dance performance, boat return and lunch, then walking tour of Hoi An. Finish at your hotel.
My Son Sanctuary: pickup, visit, Champa dance, boat return and lunch
Your guide will meet you at your Hoi An hotel at 08:00. Drive to My Son Sanctuary (a UNESCO World Heritage site) for a guided visit to the red-brick towers and sanctuaries and a traditional Champa dance performance. After the visit you will return by boat toward the Thu Bồn River area and have lunch at a local riverside restaurant before some rest and transfer toward Hoi An for the afternoon program.
Tips from local experts:
- Dress respectfully for visiting religious sites: shoulders and knees should be covered; bring a light scarf if needed.
- Carry sun protection and a refillable bottle—My Son is exposed with limited shaded areas between ruins.
- Bring small change in Vietnamese dong for entrance stamps, small souvenirs, or restroom fees at local stops.
Hoi An Ancient Town: walking tour and local highlights
After lunch and a short transfer you'll be shown around Hoi An Ancient Town. Walk the narrow lanes of the trading port, visit the 400‑year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien (Fujian) Assembly Hall, a ceramics/trade museum area and handicraft workshops with traditional music. Time is provided for browsing tailor shops and galleries. The walking section is paced for comfort and finishes with drop-off at your hotel.
Tips from local experts:
- Wear comfortable, slip-resistant shoes—the old town uses stone and brick streets that can be uneven.
- If you plan to visit a tailor, allow extra time after the tour for fittings; bring reference photos or measurements.
- Carry cash for small purchases at markets and workshops; many small vendors prefer Vietnamese dong.
