Itinerary
Day 1
Pickup in Hoi An, boat transfer to Cham Islands, underwater walking + snorkeling at Hon Nhon, seafood lunch and relaxation at Bai Chong, return to Hoi An and hotel drop-off.
Hotel pickup and transfer to Cua Dai Wharf
Tour guide and driver pick up guests from hotels in Hoi An or Da Nang and transfer to Cua Dai Wharf for boarding. Guests should provide their hotel address at booking for pickup arrangements.
Tips from local experts:
- Provide your full hotel name and room number in advance so pickup is punctual.
- Have a small backpack with swimwear and ID ready; parking/transfer time is limited — luggage should remain at the hotel when possible.
- If traveling with young children, prepare a lifejacket or request child-sized flotation in advance and notify the operator of ages.
Boat transfer from Cua Dai Wharf to Cham Islands
Board a traditional Vietnamese wooden boat (approx. 50 minutes) or a speedboat (approx. 15 minutes) for the sea crossing to the Cham Islands. Crew will brief safety procedures before departure.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring motion-sickness remedies if you are prone to seasickness; waves can be choppy depending on weather.
- Keep cameras and electronics in waterproof bags during boarding and the crossing.
- Wear non-slip sandals or shoes for boarding; follow crew instructions when stepping on/off the boat.
Walking Underwater (helmet dive), snorkeling and swimming at Hon Nhon beach
Arrive at Hon Nhon beach for the guided 'walking underwater' helmet experience (minimum age 8). Non-divers can experience the seabed while a safety diver accompanies the group. Afterward there is time for snorkeling and swimming around nearby reef spots.
Tips from local experts:
- Minimum age for underwater walking is 8 years — children under 8 may join snorkeling only; bring a child snorkel mask if needed.
- Avoid heavy meals just before the activity and inform staff of any medical conditions (asthma, heart conditions, recent surgery).
- Apply reef-safe sunscreen before arrival and bring a microfiber towel; rice-paper or paper tissues are limited on the island.
Return boat to Cua Dai Wharf and hotel drop-off in Hoi An
Board the boat for the return trip to Cua Dai Wharf. On arrival, transfers to hotels in Hoi An and Da Nang are provided to complete the tour.
Tips from local experts:
- Keep personal belongings with you during transfer; double-check the boat area before disembarkation.
- Expect to arrive back in Hoi An mid-afternoon; plan onward activities or rest accordingly.
- If you require a specific drop-off time or location (airport transfer, different hotel), confirm this with the guide at pickup.
