Itinerary
Day 1
Early morning transfer from Aonang to Ao Thalane and guided kayak through mangroves.
Early bird kayak
Pickup from Aonang (hotels in Aonang area) at 07:15. Transfer by private vehicle to the Ao Thalane launch point (approximately 30–40 minutes). Arrive at launch, safety briefing and gear fitting, then paddle through the mangrove channels for about 2 hours covering roughly 5–7 km. Return to the meeting point, change/pack, and transfer back to Aonang. Small group (maximum 10). Included: Thai-style grilled sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf, Thai desserts, coffee/tea, kayak equipment, waterproof bag and life jacket. Note: pick up from outside Aonang (Krabi town, Klong Muang) may be subject to an additional fee per the operator; Railay meeting points are Ao Nammao Pier or Aonang Pier as noted at booking.
Tips from local experts:
- Wear quick-dry clothing and a hat; apply reef-safe sunscreen before pickup — there is limited shade while paddling.
- Bring a small, securely fastened camera or phone strap for photos; the operator provides a small waterproof bag for essentials.
- Confirm your Aonang pickup location in advance (hotel name or Aonang Soi 15 meeting point) and be ready at 07:15 to allow the 30–40 minute transfer.
