4.45River rafting for the whole family

River rafting for the whole family

This rafting trip is suitable for beginners and families with kids. The total length of the river route is 14  kilometers and seven Class I-III rapids are navigated along the route.  At first we practice on an easy I-class rapids, after this we progress  onto a II-class Peurakoski and Saarikoski and then onto a III-class the  Harjakoski, which offers its challenges from all directions. The  rapids power us along and the backwaters between them are slowly  paddled by human muscles, allowing us to enjoy the tranquility of  nature. In the lake areas at the beginning and end of the route we use  the power of a motor. Our trip ends at the sandy beach of  Basecamp Oulanka, where you can opt for other activities, have lunch at  our restaurant or experience the traditional Finnish sauna. This  trip is nature-friendly and child-friendly: Even the youngest children  can paddle on the calmer sections, so they don't have to sit in the  middle of the boat for the whole trip.

1Forest yoga hike in Riisitunturi National Park

Forest yoga hike in Riisitunturi National Park

Combine yoga and nice hike in the most beautiful nature scenery. Our trail to the peak goes through an old forest which has a lot of stories and history; on the way we also get to know the arctic nature, its plants and animals. We walk about 5 km on the path and in the forest.Always when it feels like it, we put our backpacks down, enjoy the view and few moments of forest yoga. Gentle, peaceful, body-stretching yoga poses combined to the benefits of nature. What could be better! We do poses mainly by standing up and use trees and rocks as support. Forest yoga suits for everybody and no previous experience is needed. At the top the silent view continues for as long as you can see and there we just sit still, do a short breathing exercise and enjoy the nature. After that we continue to the fireplace. With good luck the Siberian Jays may come and greet us when we make nettle pancakes and enjoy wild berry juice by the campfire. Duration: 5-6 hours, lenght 5 km.Group size: 1- 8.
