4.45River rafting for the whole family

River rafting for the whole family

This rafting trip is suitable for beginners and families with kids. The total length of the river route is 14  kilometers and seven Class I-III rapids are navigated along the route.  At first we practice on an easy I-class rapids, after this we progress  onto a II-class Peurakoski and Saarikoski and then onto a III-class the  Harjakoski, which offers its challenges from all directions. The  rapids power us along and the backwaters between them are slowly  paddled by human muscles, allowing us to enjoy the tranquility of  nature. In the lake areas at the beginning and end of the route we use  the power of a motor. Our trip ends at the sandy beach of  Basecamp Oulanka, where you can opt for other activities, have lunch at  our restaurant or experience the traditional Finnish sauna. This  trip is nature-friendly and child-friendly: Even the youngest children  can paddle on the calmer sections, so they don't have to sit in the  middle of the boat for the whole trip.

4.48Reindeer yoga

Reindeer yoga

Experience something truly one-of-a-kind with Reindeer Yoga at Kujala Reindeer Farm! This unique activity combines the serene practice of yoga with the gentle presence of friendly reindeer, creating an unforgettable connection between body, mind, and nature. Our “yoga studio” lies in the heart of the reindeer farm — a reindeer fence surrounded by forest, sky, and the calm rhythm of northern life. The walls are made of trees and reindeer, and the ceiling is the open northern sky. As you stretch and breathe, you’ll hear only the soft shuffle of hooves, the jingling of reindeer bells, and the whispers of wind through the pines.Guided by local reindeer herders, you’ll begin your experience by walking to the farm’s reindeer fence. There, for about an hour, we practice gentle yoga and nature-based wellbeing techniques, all on warm reindeer hides. These hides are much more than yoga mats — they are natural, sustainable, and perfectly suited to the Arctic environment, offering warmth and a sense of grounding even when temperatures drop to -30°C.During the session, you'll hear stories and insights about reindeer and life in the North — from the yearly rhythm of herding to the deep connection between people, animals, and nature in Lapland.
