Children's Eternal Rainforest Expedition
We leave La Fortuna, going to a place called La Tigra, looking for Pocosol rangers station, where we take a route crossing mountains and canyons, enjoying incredible views of secluded places full of a rich peasant culture to finally reach the Children's Eternal Forest, a forest created by children, and for the children, of the world.The reserve has several trails, our favorite is to visit the “Velo de Novia” waterfall, a two-hour walk to discover the magnificent waterfall that emerges from the heart of the forest. During our walk we can see a rich diversity of wildlife, it is common to see a great variety of birds, mammals, reptiles, and insects.Simply put, this place is a hidden natural gem. This is a tour for hiking enthusiasts, if the client wishes and there is some energy left, there is the option of exploring another trail.On the way back to the station we can take a break at the lagoon, rest and take some photos and finish with lunch at the ranger station.

Hike & Nature (Hanging Bridges + Fortuna Waterfall + Lunch)
This tour allows you to visit both the Arenal Hanging Bridges and the La Fortuna Waterfall. First, we will head to the hanging bridges. This reserve consists of 240 hectares (600 acres) of protected land. We will walk a 3 km (2 miles) circuit with 16 bridges ranging from 5 to 100 meters (16 to 328 ft.) and up to 60 meters high (196 ft.). There is also an optional additional trail to a small waterfall to get some priceless pictures. This spectacular piece of primary rainforest is home to many species of birds, plants, reptiles, mammals, and insects which our naturalist guide will help you to locate among the dense vegetation. Our next stop is the La Fortuna Waterfall. We will enjoy a hike down towards the base of the fall for about 15 minutes. Upon arrival, you can choose to simply enjoy the majestic beauty of the waterfall and its surrounding area or jump in for a refreshing swim. The tour will end with a delicious traditional lunch at “La Finquita” Restaurant.

Pure Nature Safari River Float
The Río Frío River descends from the outskirts of the Tenorio Volcano and continues to the northern region of Nicaragua. The river is used by the Maleku natives for transportation and as a food source. In addition, it is of vital hydric importance for crop irrigation and soil mineralization in the area. It is also the main water source for the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge, which is considered by RAMSAR to be a site of international importance due to its wetlands and biodiversity. Despite the agricultural expansion of the area, this river protects a good portion of the forest on its banks, connected through its tributaries with dozens of small patches of forest, creating a highway for several species of animals. They use the ground, water, and branches to move daily through the river in search of food and other needs. It is easy to observe monkeys, sloths, iguanas, turtles, caiman, and numerous species of birds, as well as dense vegetation of coastal trees that support the soil and prevent erosion and floods.A quiet tour to enjoy the peace and sounds of the forest. We will use our senses of sight, hearing, and smell to locate animals. The boat captain is also an experienced naturalist guide with great knowledge of interpreting the ecosystem and providing interesting information about it. In the end, we will share an unforgettable experience, visiting a Costa Rican family on their farm, and enjoying homemade snacks.
Slothies and Birds
The sloth is one of the most emblematic animals of Costa Rican fauna. These small and friendly creatures are sweet and beautiful, and always appear to be happy, with an eternal smile painted on their faces.We would love for you to join us for a short hike through the secondary rainforest to try to locate them. This trail is only 2 km. (1.25 miles) and is designed with the entire family in mind. It is very common to spot these small mammals hiding among the vegetation. But our expert guides know all their secrets and tricks! We will also learn interesting facts about some of the fabulous plants we spot along the way.Due to its location and type of flora, this trail is also heavily populated with birds. To complement a morning or afternoon full of wildlife, we will be able to appreciate many species of birds in the area.
