Itinerary
Day 1
Meet at Nassau Cruise Port and depart for a scenic harbor cruise that includes a safety briefing and short introduction to the boat and crew.
Boarding & Nassau Harbor Tour
Meet at Nassau Cruise Port, board the 29 ft Seabird, safety briefing and short cruise of Nassau Harbor and Paradise Island. See Potter's Cay Dock, cruise ship terminals, and Ocean Club estates as the boat makes its way toward Atlantis.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time to check in at Nassau Cruise Port and load gear; ports enforce strict boarding times.
- Bring a small dry bag and a hat—space aboard is limited, so keep valuables secure and water-resistant.
- If anyone in your group is prone to seasickness, take motion-sickness medication at least 30 minutes before departure; the open harbor can be choppy at times.
Atlantis Love Tunnel (pass-by)
Slow cruise through the Love Tunnel area beside Atlantis Paradise Island for photos of the marina and resort architecture; brief narrated stop while the captain navigates the area.
Tips from local experts:
- Have cameras ready for yachts and Atlantis views; this is a short pass-by stop so plan one or two quick photos.
- Wear sunglasses—the bright resort facades and water reflections make for high glare; polarized lenses help for photos.
- Keep small items secured while you move around the boat for a quick photo stop; decks can be wet from spray.
Sandy Cay (Gilligan's Island) — Beach Stop
Step ashore Sandy Cay for beach time, shade under palms, and short exploration. Time allocated for swimming, photos, and beach games.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring reef-safe sunscreen and a towel (towels are not provided); sandy shores can be hot—pack flip-flops.
- Follow crew instructions when landing and leaving the cay; some cays have uneven sandbars and shallow boat approaches.
- Keep an eye on personal items while ashore—small beaches mean limited secure storage; use a compact dry bag.
Green Cay — Snorkel with Turtles
Snorkeling stop at Green Cay to swim alongside sea turtles and inspect nearby coral. Snorkeling equipment is provided and the crew will brief on reef-safe practices and safety.
Tips from local experts:
- Use the provided snorkel gear and ask crew for fit checks—proper fit improves your experience and safety in current.
- Do not touch or chase turtles or coral; stay slow and let turtles approach naturally to avoid disturbing wildlife.
- Rinse gear with fresh water after the snorkel; drink bottled water between swims to stay hydrated in the sun.
Rose Island — Beach, Games & Bahama Mamas
Final island stop at Rose Island for beach relaxation, optional light beach games, and unlimited Bahama Mamas provided on board. Short time to relax before return cruise to Nassau Cruise Port.
Tips from local experts:
- Alcohol is served on this stop; pace consumption if you plan to snorkel or swim afterwards and follow crew guidance on safety.
- Use shade where available during peak sun hours; Rose Island has limited permanent shade so a light cover-up helps.
- Prepare to re-board promptly at the scheduled return time to ensure timely arrival back at Nassau Cruise Port.
Return to Nassau Cruise Port — Disembark
Cruise back to Nassau Cruise Port with estimated arrival and disembarkation. Crew will assist with unloading gear.
Tips from local experts:
- Expect arrival at the port by the scheduled tour end time; allow extra time if you have shore excursions or a cruise ship departure.
- Collect any rented snorkel equipment and personal items before leaving the boat; check under seats and compartments.
- Tip the crew if you were satisfied; crew can accept cash and will appreciate gestures for good service.
