Itinerary
Day 1
Evening bar crawl and private karaoke session in central Reykjavík. Start at Lemmy and progress down Laugavegur / Lækjargata to finish with karaoke.
Lemmy
Meet your local nightlife host and begin with a selection of Icelandic beers on tap while your host briefly covers the history of beer in Iceland.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring government-issued photo ID — venues will check age for alcohol service.
- Wear comfortable shoes — all stops are short walks (5–15 minutes) along flat city streets.
- Ask the bartender for a small sample or recommendation if you want to try local styles before choosing a pint.
Ægir Microbar (Aegir)
Visit the Ægir craft bar for a flight of Icelandic beers and an introduction to local specialty tastings; adventurous guests may sample traditional items offered at the bar.
Tips from local experts:
- If you want a flight, tell the server how many samples you'd like — flights are often shared among groups.
- This stop may offer small traditional tastings; if you have food allergies, mention them before sampling.
- Expect a short walk from Lemmy (around 8–12 minutes); use this time to add names to the karaoke list if you plan to sing.
Kántríbarinn (private karaoke room)
Final stop: drinks and a private karaoke room at Kántríbarinn where the group can sing together or enjoy Reykjavík’s karaoke atmosphere.
Tips from local experts:
- If you want to perform, arrive at the room on time to add your song choices to the queue — popular songs fill up fast.
- Most venues accept card payments; have your ID handy if ordering alcohol in the karaoke room.
- Keep personal items close in the private room and follow the host's guidance for microphones and song selection.
