Itinerary
Day 1
Morning zip-line adventure departing from Split or meeting at the Klis base; guided safety briefings, equipment fitting, 6 zips with a midpoint viewpoint, and return to base.
City Centre Pickup
Meet at the designated pickup point in central Split (Prva splitska česma / Točilo Dobri area). Board the van for a comfortable drive up toward Mount Kozjak (approximately 25 minutes).
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive 5–10 minutes early to find the meeting point and allow time to load luggage or bags into the van.
- Bring a light daypack only; the van has limited space — leave large items at your hotel or in your car.
- If you plan group photos before departure, use a compact camera or phone with a secure strap; the meeting spot can be busy.
Direct Arrival (Car or Uber)
If you drive or take a taxi/Uber, navigate to the base cabin at the Klis site (Ulica Nad Rupotinom). Free on-site parking and a clear drop-off area are available.
Tips from local experts:
- Use the address Ulica Nad Rupotinom, Klis for navigation — there is free parking on site but space can be limited at busy times.
- If arriving by taxi/Uber, confirm the exact drop-off point with the driver (base entrance) to avoid the need to walk on steep or unpaved sections.
- Lock valuables in your vehicle or keep them with you in a secure, zipped pocket; there are no lockers at the trailheads.
Preparation at Base
Use base camp facilities (toilets, drinking water) and meet your instructors. Receive gear (harness, helmet, trolley), safety briefing and be driven by a short shuttle to the course starting area.
- Monday8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Tuesday8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Sunday8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Tips from local experts:
- Use the toilets and refill water at the base — there are no facilities on the mountain trails.
- Wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable outdoor clothing; instructors will fit your harness and helmet, so layers are easiest to manage.
- Secure loose items (phones, sunglasses) in zipped pockets or use a zip-line-approved strap; small action cameras should be mounted only if permitted by staff.
The Adventure Begins (Zipline Course)
A short 5-minute nature walk to the first takeoff platform followed by the guided zipline course: 6 wires totaling 2,500 m, with a midpoint panoramic break. Instructors provide safety guidance and assist at each platform.
Tips from local experts:
- Follow instructors' spacing and safety instructions exactly — there are short waits between zips where you can enjoy the views.
- Keep hands free of loose items; if you need photos, ask staff where it's safe to stop for a quick group shot at the panoramic viewpoint.
- Be prepared for variable wind and sun exposure on the platforms; a lightweight windbreaker and sunscreen are recommended.
Completion & Return
Finish the final flight and return by a short walk to the base cabin to remove equipment. Use base facilities to freshen up. Drivers/taxi guests depart directly from the parking area; pickup guests board the van for the return to Split city centre.
Tips from local experts:
- Allow a few minutes at the base to return equipment and use the facilities; staff will confirm pickup or give final directions for drivers.
- If you were picked up from Split, expect a van return that mirrors the morning drive — keep your belongings together for a quick departure.
- Check the condition of your vehicle or taxi pickup spot before leaving (especially if parked on unpaved surfaces) and have small change or a card ready if paying for taxi return.

Zip Line Split
Why this experience
Zip-lining from Split's hinterland gives you the rush of speed and the view of the Dalmatian coast compressed into your stomach for about 30 seconds. The lines run through forested terrain outside the city, suspended high enough that you see the ridgeline and the sea at the same time. Most operators set up 3–5 lines of varying length, so your first run is short and technical while your last run is long and pure adrenaline. You'll come down shaking, laughing, and replaying the moment you went faster than your brain thought was safe.
Before you go
- Best time: Spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) for clear skies and moderate temperatures
- Budget: See Bokun widget for tour pricing; zip-lining includes all equipment, guide, and safety briefing
- Difficulty: Moderate — requires physical fitness and comfort with heights; no technical skill required
- What to bring: Comfortable athletic clothes, closed-toe shoes, water, sunscreen, light layers
- Getting there: Meet at zip-line site outside Split; many operators offer pickup from central Split
- Accessibility: Zip-lining requires the ability to climb ladders, wear harnesses, and tolerate heights. Not suitable for those with fear of heights, back problems, or mobility limitations.
Frequently asked questions
Am I attached to the line the whole time? Yes—your harness connects to the line throughout the experience. Guide and operators ensure safety and security at every stage.
How high am I off the ground? Heights vary by line but typically range from 20–60 meters above ground. You'll feel the height, especially on longer runs.
How fast do I go? Speed varies by line and your own weight, but expect 40–60 km/h on the longer runs. It feels much faster than it is.
What's included in the tour? TheNextGuide partners with zip-line operators who provide harness, helmet, guide, safety briefing, and all equipment. Guides accompany your group and control your descent.
What if I'm scared of heights? Many people do the tour despite fear of heights—the harness security and guide presence provide reassurance. You can discuss your concerns with the operator before starting; some offer modified routes.
