Spend a day as a real reindeer herder and explore the wilderness by experiencing Finnish winter fishing methods. Join us to feed the large reindeer herd in their natural habitat.We'll take you into the forest seated in a snowmobile sleigh to feed a large herd of reindeer in their natural habitat. After this, you'll have the chance to try traditional winter fishing methods, such as fishing with nets under the ice and ice fishing!We'll enjoy a homemade lunch on an open fire in the wilderness. The lunch includes creamy reindeer soup or a vegan wild mushroom soup, served with cold water and homemade hot berry juice.The minimum number of participants for this activity is two. The activity will only take place if the minimum number is met. We will notify you about the confirmation of the activity 12 hours in advance.

Join us for an unforgettable evening at our reindeer fence, where you'll have the chance to meet the reindeer and learn about their yearly cycle and the traditions of reindeer herding. The experience includes a delicious, creamy reindeer meat soup prepared by us, served in a cozy and traditional Sámi hut. Here, you can warm up by the fire and enjoy the soup alongside homemade hot berry juice while waiting for the northern lights to appear.While the aurora is a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed, you’ll still have the opportunity to get up close with the reindeer, immerse yourself in Sámi culture, and try your hand at "suopunki" throwing – the traditional lasso technique used to catch reindeer.This activity offers an authentic taste of the Arctic lifestyle, combining local culture, delicious food, and the magical northern sky.

Nightless Night Fishing Trip in the Wilderness
Experience a nightless night in the wilderness! In Lapland the sun is up 24 hours from May to August and midnight is the best time to go fishing.We pick you up by car from Ivalo, from where we travel about half an hour to the wilderness from where we continue walking about two kilometers to the lake.You can try spin fishing with our equipment, or you can bring your own. During the trip we enjoy hot drinks and fry sausages on an open fire. After the trip, we will transport you back to Ivalo.We don't guarantee a catch of fish, but you’ll get to experience the most beautiful moment of Lapland's summer.

Reindeer herd and Winter Fishing Experience
Experience the work of a reindeer herder and Finnish winter fishing on the same day!Your day starts early in the morning. We’ll pick you up from Ivalo, such as from your hotel, and drive by car to the starting point of the activity. From there, we continue by snowmobile to the reindeer herd which consists of hundreds of reindeer. You’ll have the chance to photograph the reindeer and take part in feeding them.After feeding, we head to a nearby lake where you can try traditional fishing methods, such as checking fishing nets and ice fishing. A warm traditional Sami hut awaits nearby, where we’ll serve lunch. The lunch is homemade reindeer soup or vegan wold mushroom soup, served with fresh cold water and warm homemade berry juice. After the activities, we’ll drive you back to the starting point. The experience lasts about six hours and accommodates a maximum of eight people. The minimum group size for the activity is two people. Please note that the activity can only be arranged if there are at least two participants.

Embark on a unique adventure to experience the daily life of reindeer herders and meet reindeer in their natural forest environment. Our journey starts early in the morning - we will pick you up from your accommodation and drive about half an hour to our starting point. From there, you’ll travel through the wilderness in a sleigh pulled by a snowmobile to reach the reindeer herd where you can join the feeding of hundreds of reindeer and learn about the traditional livelihood. After feeding the reindeer, we will build a fire in the forest, grill sausages, and share insights into reindeer herding and the local culture.

We’ll pick you up from your accommodation and take you on a three-hour journey through the Ivalo, Inari, or Saariselkä areas to find the auroras. Along the way, we’ll stop at the best potential spots to catch the Northern Lights.This activity includes roasting sausages over an open fire, along with tea, hot chocolate, or homemade hot berry juice. The ride lasts approximately two hours, and the time by the open fire is about one hour. Meeting point is in the harbour of Koppelo village, located 10 km from Ivalo. Tranport is possible from Ivalo area ( 40 € ) and Saariselkä ( 150 € ).Tina and Tapio are owners of this small local family company, they will be your guide in this memorable tour. Tour starts with picturesque scenery of Koppelo village by river. You will get to experience wonderful nature of Ivalo River delta area and Lake Inari.The area is rich in birdlife. You will have possibility to try to catch a fish in traditional finnish way, with hook, line and a worm. Its great fun also for children as it is easy way to catch a fish. There is good possibility to catch a perch which is the national fish of finland, or a pike. For this type of fishing you dont need a licence.Tina and Tapio lives on a small island, you will visit the island in this tour. We will have BBQ outside in terrace or in lappish teepee by open fire, as you wish. Tinas family has been living generations in this area, with this tour you will get glimpse of local local lifestyle.For group size of 2-4 persons your boat will be 6 meter long "Meri-Palta" boat, registered for 5 person.For group size 5-8 person boat will be 9 meter long Minor 28, there is also inside cabin. Minor is registered for 10 person.If you wish to have Minor boat for 4 person or less please book the tour for 5 person.

THE ICE FISHING BY SNOWMOBILE to lake Inari
This excursion depart from the Ivalo village. We drive by snowmobiles to the Lake Inarijärvi or some forest lake for ice-fishing. If we are lucky, we could get some greyling or perch. We couldn´t guarantee a sure catch, but we can promise fresh air, new experiences and good feeling! A child sitting on a snowmobile must be at least 140 cm tall.We ask you to inform us, if you have any food-allergies or a special diet. For security reasons, we also ask you to contact us, if you suffer from a disease, that might have an effect on your performance during the trip. (For example: asthma, diabetes or epilepsy).To be allowed to drive a snowmobile, you need to have driving license for a car.Total driving distance is 30 km.

The Aurora Borealis, more commonly referred to as the "northern lights", is a natural phenomenon that occurs when solar activity releases a cloud of gas that is drawn into the earth´s magnetic fields, creating charged particles that collide with oxygen and nitrogen atoms in the upper atmosphere.On this safari we will drive by car from Ivalo village to "hunt" Aurora Borealis. Our professional local photographer drives you to the best places as he can, depending on the weather. It's possible to see the Northern Lights only during the clear sky and when the daylight is gone; the safaris are not to be arranged during the totally cloudy weather. If the sky is partly cloudy we hunt for the clear spots on the sky.The trip is made with an emission-free electric car.

During the safari we take a short rest and enjoy tea and cookies.

The snowmobile safari is begun with a short instruction about the snowmobile driving and safety by the guide. If we are lucky we see reindeer along the snowmobile route. We could take photos of them.

We will pick you up from your accommodation, then we will start our exiting hunt for The Northern Lights.We use several weather forecasts and applications to find the place with best opportunies to see this nature phenomenon.You will be with one of our experienced local guides, who has the passion to show you the Nothern Lights. Hot drinks and biscuits are served in one of our secret spots, while we are looking at the sky.
