Itinerary
Day 1
Evening small-group walking tour through Gion and Higashiyama. Meet at Kikunoi Roan; the guide will lead a relaxed 90-minute route that follows the listed sequence of highlights, with a short sake tasting integrated into the walk.
Kamo River (Kamo-gawa) — Brief riverside introduction
Meet at the listed start point (Kikunoi Roan). We begin with a short riverside introduction to set context for Gion and Kyoto’s evening atmosphere along the Kamo River.

Stroll down historic Hanamikoji Street. This is a prime area to quietly look for geiko/maiko and where the guide will provide the Sake-in-Hand tasting so you can sip premium local sake while walking.

- If you see a geiko/maiko, remain quiet and allow them to pass—never approach or take intrusive photos.

Yasui Konpiragu Shrine — Enkiri-Enmusubi ritual (exterior & explanation)
Visit Yasui Konpiragu to learn about its unique "cut bad ties/form good ones" tradition and see the Enkiri-Enmusubi stone and related rituals (observational; visitors may participate at their discretion).
