Itinerary
Day 1
Morning pick-up and full-day loop of central Tokyo highlights. Order of places is fixed as shown; the driver will adapt pacing within this sequence.
Hotel pickup in central Tokyo (Chiyoda City area)
Driver will pick you up from your hotel or a nearby agreed drop-off/pick-up point in central Tokyo (not airports/cruise terminals). Short orientation and confirm guest preferences for the day.
Tips from local experts:
- Provide your hotel name and a mobile contact number in advance so the driver can confirm exact meeting point.
- Have any luggage you want left in the vehicle prepared to avoid delays during pickup.
- If you prefer a slightly later start, confirm with the driver at pickup; start times are usually 08:00 or 09:00.
Tsukiji Outer Market (breakfast / market walk)
Visit the busy Tsukiji Outer Market to sample fresh seafood and street food. Use this stop for breakfast if you wish; market stalls and small sushi counters are available. Note: inner wholesale auction area is not part of this visit.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive early; many popular stalls open early and some close by mid-morning.
- Carry small change and be prepared for narrow, busy lanes — hand luggage only for easier walking.
- If you prefer a sit-down sushi counter, ask the driver to recommend one with shorter waits for couples.
Transfer to Senso-ji (Asakusa)
Drive from Tsukiji to Asakusa. The driver will aim for a short photo stop near the temple approach prior to entry.
Tips from local experts:
- Use this transfer to rest a little after the market; traffic can vary so allow buffer time.
- Ask the driver for a quick toilet stop before entering the temple precinct if needed.
- Keep your camera ready — you'll approach Nakamise-dori (the shopping street) before reaching Senso-ji.
Senso-ji Temple (Asakusa) — Buddhist temple visit and photos
Walk through Nakamise shopping street and visit Senso-ji, Tokyo's oldest Buddhist temple. Time allocated for photos and a short stroll through the temple grounds.
Tips from local experts:
- Respect shrine/temple etiquette: bow at the entrance, rinse hands/mouth at the temizuya (water basin) before entering main hall.
- Nakamise-dori is great for souvenir shopping — avoid peak crowds if you prefer quieter browsing.
- Wear comfortable shoes — there are short walking sections and some uneven pavement near the temple.
Transfer to Tokyo Skytree (Oshiage)
Drive from Asakusa to the Tokyo Skytree area. The visit is optional: elevator up to observation decks is available at guest expense.
Tips from local experts:
- If you intend to enter Tokyo Skytree observation decks, let the driver know now so drop-off is planned at the Skytree entrance.
- Observation deck entry is not included in the tour price; lines can form — morning/early afternoon is typically less crowded than late afternoon.
- There are cafes and shopping areas at Tokyo Solamachi at the Skytree base if you prefer a relaxed break instead of going up.
Tokyo Skytree area — optional observation decks and view
Time at Skytree base; guests may choose to ascend to the 350m/450m observation decks (entrance fees not included). Enjoy panoramic city views from the plaza and shopping complex if you skip the tower ascent.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring a valid photo ID if you're planning to buy express or reserved tickets on site.
- If you prefer to avoid the observation deck ticket queues, enjoy the view from Solamachi rooftop terraces and nearby riverfront instead.
- Check tall-structure weather visibility before queuing — the driver can advise if cloud/fog reduces visibility that day.
Lunch break (guest's choice)
One-hour lunch break. The driver can recommend nearby restaurants or food courts at Tokyo Solamachi (Skytree) or drive to a requested cuisine nearby.
Tips from local experts:
- If you have dietary restrictions, tell the driver to recommend suitable restaurants; many places in central Tokyo can accommodate common allergies with notice.
- Lunch at Solamachi is convenient for varied choices and seating for couples; expect queues at popular counters during peak times.
- Keep receipts and note opening hours — some smaller sushi counters close midday after serving morning stock.
Transfer to Meiji Shrine / Takeshita Street (Harajuku)
Drive to the Harajuku area. Visit the peaceful Meiji Shrine followed by a stroll down Takeshita Street for Harajuku's youthful culture and shops.
Tips from local experts:
- Meiji Shrine is a tranquil, shaded walk; bring a light layer if the temperature drops under tree cover.
- Takeshita Street can be narrow and crowded — if you prefer quieter browsing, explore side streets around Omotesando.
- Ask the driver for a recommended café stop if you'd like a private moment after the shrine visit.
Meiji Jingu (Meiji Shrine) — short shrine visit
A calm 10–15 minute walk into the shrine complex to experience Shinto worship practices and peaceful forested pathways. Followed by a walk down Takeshita Street for a contrasting lively scene.
Tips from local experts:
- Observe shrine customs: bow at the torii gate and keep voices low inside the main grounds for a respectful visit.
- There are paved, mostly level paths inside the shrine but some gentle slopes; seating is available near the outer areas.
- For a relaxed experience on Takeshita Street, browse side streets (Ura-Harajuku) to avoid the busiest crowds.
Transfer to Shibuya Crossing
Short transfer from Harajuku to Shibuya. The driver will drop you close to the scramble crossing and Hachiko statue for photos.
Tips from local experts:
- Ask the driver for a recommended vantage point for photos (pedestrian overpass or nearby café windows).
- Keep an eye on crossing signals and avoid blocking pedestrian flow while taking pictures.
- If you'd like a quieter photo of Hachiko, arrive slightly off-peak (mid-afternoon over lunchtime or early evening).
Shibuya Scramble Crossing & Hachiko Statue (photo stop)
Walk across Shibuya Crossing and take photos at the Hachiko statue. Short visit for iconic busy-city photos and atmosphere.
Tips from local experts:
- Stand on the second-floor windows of Shibuya Station or nearby cafés for a great overhead view of the scramble.
- Personal belongings: keep bags zipped and close in crowded areas.
- If you want to shop or rest, the driver can wait nearby; short cafés around the crossing often accommodate couples.
Transfer to Odaiba (Daiba) — Gundam / Statue of Liberty / Rainbow Bridge views
Drive to Odaiba for photos of the life-sized Gundam (DiverCity area), the mini Statue of Liberty replica, and Rainbow Bridge views. A special late-afternoon photo moment for couples is planned here.
Tips from local experts:
- Traffic toward Odaiba can vary; consider an ocean-side arrival for better photo angles of the Rainbow Bridge.
- If you want to time a sunset/golden-hour photo, inform the driver so pacing can be adjusted earlier in the day.
- There are short walking routes on Odaiba waterfront with benches — a good place for a relaxed couple photo session.
Odaiba photo stops and waterfront stroll
Short visit to photograph the Gundam statue at DiverCity, the mini Statue of Liberty replica, and enjoy views of Rainbow Bridge. Time reserved as a special moment for couples to relax and take photos.
Tips from local experts:
- The full-size Gundam is best photographed from DiverCity plaza; expect crowds near the statue during peak times.
- Waterfront promenades offer unobstructed views of the Rainbow Bridge — bring a light jacket for breezy evenings.
- If you'd like a quieter spot for photos, the Odaiba Seaside Park stretch east of the statue is less crowded.
Transfer to Tokyo Tower (Shibakoen)
Drive from Odaiba back toward central Tokyo for a quick photo stop at Tokyo Tower. Optional additional nearby sites can be discussed depending on time.
Tips from local experts:
- Allow extra transit time if you wish to stop at nearby Zojoji Temple for a framing shot with Tokyo Tower.
- Traffic from Odaiba to Tokyo Tower can be variable; the driver will choose the fastest route.
- If you prefer an evening city-light view, ask the driver to extend the Tokyo Tower stop within the tour duration.
Tokyo Tower — quick photo stop
Short stop to photograph Tokyo Tower from Zojoji Park or the external viewing plaza. Quick walk and photo opportunity; tower ascent is optional and not included.
Tips from local experts:
- For the classic photo with Tokyo Tower framed by trees, head toward Zojoji Temple side (short walk from the car drop-off).
- Tower entry and interior observation decks are optional and not included — inquire about timing if you'd like to add this on the day.
- There are coin-operated lockers and public restrooms nearby if you need a short break before the return transfer.
Return transfer and hotel drop-off (central Tokyo)
Drive back to the guest's hotel or a mutually agreed central Tokyo drop-off point. Short debrief and end of service.
Tips from local experts:
- Confirm your precise hotel drop-off point with the driver at the start of the day to avoid delays at the end.
- Keep any purchases or souvenirs in the vehicle until you arrive to prevent carrying them across multiple stops.
- If you need assistance with onward arrangements (rail guidance, luggage storage), ask the driver before drop-off.
