Itinerary
Day 1
Full activity with optional pickup from Reykjavík city centre; basecamp at Safari Quads (Lambhagavegur 19). Times shown assume the 09:30 scheduled departure with pickup; if you meet at the basecamp, arrive 09:15 for a 09:30 departure.
Pick up (Optional)
Optional shared transfer collects guests from selected Reykjavík city-centre stops, major hotels outside the central pedestrian area, or the cruise ship port. Pickup begins approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled ATV departure and the vehicle makes multiple stops within the pickup window to collect guests.

- Be ready 5 minutes before your confirmed pickup time at the agreed bus stop or hotel entrance — the pickup window is about 30 minutes and the vehicle will follow a collection route.
- If you are booking for children, inform the operator of ages in advance; child seats are not provided so plan seating/booking accordingly (passenger minimum age is 6 years).
- If you prefer to meet the group at the basecamp instead of using pickup, head to Safari Quads (Lambhagavegur 19) and arrive at the stated meet time (e.g., 09:15 for a 09:30 departure).
Safety & Suit up
Arrive at Safari Quads basecamp for a 30-minute safety briefing and gearing up. Staff fit helmets, gloves, overalls and balaclavas, review basic ATV controls and safety rules, and confirm rider pairings (single or shared).

- Dress in warm layers and wear sturdy outdoor shoes — overalls and helmets are provided but base layers keep children comfortable in cooler weather.
- All drivers must bring a valid full driving licence and be at least 17 years old; passengers (non-drivers) do not need a licence but must be at least 6 years old.
- Allow the full 30 minutes for sizing and briefing — staff will fit gear to children, but if a child is small consider arriving a few minutes early so the team can assist.
1 Hour Reykjavik Peak ATV adventure
Guided 1-hour ATV ride across rugged trails around Lake Hafravatn, climbing to Reykjavik Peak for panoramic views of the Hengill area, Hellisheiði, Faxaflói bay, Bláfjöll and Esja. Riders follow the guide and stop for short viewpoint photos.

- Each ATV ride lasts one hour on trails; riders should secure loose items (phones, hats) in pockets or zipped bags provided by the guide to prevent loss on bumpy sections.
- If you booked shared-rider option, note that two people share one ATV and a minimum of two participants is required for that option; if your group size is odd, one person must be booked as a single rider.
- Expect varied terrain (mud, gravel, small ascents); passengers should hold on securely and follow the guide’s instructions for safe passing and stopping.
Drop off (Optional)
After returning to basecamp and removing gear, guests who used the pickup service are returned to Reykjavík city centre — selected bus stops, major hotels outside the pedestrian centre, or the cruise ship port.

- Confirm your preferred drop-off address with staff when you arrive at basecamp so the driver can plan the most convenient stop near your accommodation.
- Allow 10–15 minutes walking time from some central drop stops to hotels located inside pedestrian-only areas; ask staff for the closest convenient stop for families with small children.
- If you require immediate transport after the activity (e.g., to a cruise or flight), inform the operator in advance so drop-off routing is planned accordingly.
