- Follow the guide's hands-on practice closely — walking on the path to the fissure is over uneven rock and may be slippery.

Tips from local experts:

- Ask to view your underwater photos before leaving the site so any immediate corrections or re-sends can be handled on the spot.
Return transfer to Reykjavík and drop-off
Drive back to downtown Reykjavík and drop participants at the original pickup location or an agreed central drop-off point.
Tips from local experts:
- Expect arrival back in downtown Reykjavík around the scheduled drop-off time; keep a lightweight layer handy for the short walk from the bus to your next stop.
- If you plan to eat or continue sightseeing, popular cafés in central Reykjavík open early — confirm exact drop-off spot with the guide on the return.
- Secure any photos or files provided by the guide before leaving the vehicle to avoid losing digital files when dispersing in town.
